Mini-Rant: Buddha BBeeQ Restaurant

OK, so LY and I went back to Manhattan sometime this month on some weekend, and decided to go eat again at Buddha BBeeQ. I thought that I'd try something different from the last time we visited. I wanted to see how their Chicken Teriyaki was, since that is one of my most favorite dishes. So, unbeknownst to me at the events to come, we decided to order the food and go to pick it up.

Golden Time: Review

You guys remember my first episode recap that I did for Golden Time? Well, when I had posted that recap, the drama was already six episodes in and I knew I wouldn't be able to catch up by the time school started. So, I'd like to apologize to those of you that enjoyed the drama and would have liked to read recaps for it. To make it up to you, I'd like to write a review! This review is partly created for you and partly created for me because I've been feeling a little incomplete since Golden Time ended, and I thought just leaving after one recap was unjust.
Be forewarned, there may be spoilers below.

A new challenger approaches!

She boldly bursts forth onto the scene! Her long, black cape and short curly brown hair flows behind her. An ominous melody of snapping twigs and the crunching of tree's brown and red fallen breathern play beneath her feet with every step. In her hands she grips a blogger's two most powerful and treasured weapons, a keyboard and an ipod.

She knows that somewhere her enemy is hiding and, in that enemy's burly hands were the two people she cared about the most.

She begins to ease her peace as she comes to a clearing. She tilts her head to the side, struggling to hear any signs of the targets she set out on her mission to rescue.

 Who is this mysterious person?

Many know this brave new hero as "that really dumb idiot."  But! To the few and the probably not so bright, she's know as DDM! Overly mothering, kind to a fault, blogger very average and bor- er, blogger extraordinaire!

GRRRAAAWWW OP OP, GRAAAAWWWW  OP OP

DDM's heart clenches as the disgusting sound filled the air. It was almost a mechanical screech. As if, two hundred ipods playing mediocre k-pop were simultaneously being ground up in a blender.

It's the sign she was waiting for! There was no mistaking it! That horrible, horrible screech was the call of her enemy, the emptyness of Skribul!

She rushes towards the direction of the sounds! Sure enough, there it is!

And just as she knew and feared, in it's clutches are LY and Verde!

She points her keyboard towards the empitness, her eyes flaring with anger and determination. "Monster! Your reign of boring terror ends now!"

Will  DDM defeat the vicious emptyness?!

Will she be able to breath new life into this empty blog?!

Are you even still reading this?!

Find out next time on INTO POST Z!

-----

Wow, okay, that was really, really bad! But, I guess that sorta was the point! I wanted to introduce myself with a nice laugh rather than make some awkward and really stuffy sounding post.

So uhm, hi there! I'm DDM, the newest member of this blog!

My job here will be to entertain you all with my goofy writings (I promise I won't write anything as goofy as that!) and to offer advice! I'll always try to help expand on the whole culture aspect of this blog (although I have no idea how LY and Verde expect a girl that's been cooped up on an island all of her life to be able to say something about culture but she'll try~).

So yeah! It's very nice to meet all of you and I promise I'll try my best to keep you all entertained and help you all!

With love,
DDM

P.S.
I was kidding about the medicore k-pop! I love K-Pop and other foreign genres of music. I was just trying to tease my dear pal Verde! I hope no one took offense to that and I'm terribly sorry if you did!

Restaurant Review: Buddha BBeeQ

V: Alright, so LY and I decided to head to New York City and go try Asian cuisine from a not so well-known place. We warn you that writing a review was a bit of an afterthought for us, so bear with us!
LY: What she said.
V: Is that going to be your catchphrase?
LY: Yes.

Something Random: "Moments from Verde's Therapy"

Verde: Hello everyone! How is everyone? It's a new school year and I guess all students are getting the hang of using their brains again. Well, all the students except for nerds like us.
LY: For the record, I am not embarrassed. That's Verde’s job. I would like to think of myself as the cooler, more suave, awesome-er, non--reject, and substance abuse free version of our Verde. But don't worry, Verde has seeks help from her problem so our next couple of posts will mention her struggles with coming clean! We must be there for her in her time of need explanation point why don't we look at one of Verde’s sessions with her therapist!

Golden Time: Episode 1

Verde here!
Well, Let me start off by saying that this is the first drama I'm doing recaps for, and it is also the first medical kdrama that I have watched. Please be understanding since I'm a beginner at this and feel free to tell me how I'm doing in the comments section. Onward to the recap!

The Beginning of Our Blog!!!

Verde: OK people of the world, we salute, wave, bow and whatever else type of welcome there is to you!

limp yakisoba: What she said.

Verde: Thanks for the enthusiasm, your a real team player...

limp yakisoba: I aim to please. To prove to you that we are not on mind-altering drugs, let us introduce ourselves, I am limp yakisoba and my *ahem* friend Verde

Verde: Yeah, that'll definitely make'em think we're not high, just look at our names. Though mine sounds alright. Don't worry! I'm clean!

limp yakisoba: ...of anything but drugs is what she means to say. Your name is a color--only high people name themselves after the rainbow! Haven't you ever seen Across the Universe ?

Verde: I wasn't paying attention when they talked! I was too busy being mesmerized by all the pretty colors...and the creepy circus. I swear I didn't blink for the whole scene. *shivers* Anyway, I think my name is considered more sane than yours Ms. limp yakisoba!

limp yakisoba: Are you reading what you're writing? "...mesmerized by all the pretty colors" --that's something  that only a person on dru
                                gs would say...

Verde: Are you looking at the way you're typing? You can't even keep to a straight line! Actually i think that has to do more with you being drunk than using a typewriter.

limp yakisoba: Welcome, readers,  to our anal resident weirdo and expert on all things bud related. I, on the other hand, will do my best to save you from the drug-induced skribuls!!

Verde: At least my weirdness will keep them interested.

limp yakisoba: If anyone is still reading this, Verde had met an "unfortunate" accident in which she *ahem* dies...horribly...by accident, of course.

Verde: ...I'm right here.

limp yakisoba: Anyway, welcome to skribul!!! This is a website dedicated to the many subjects that keep life interesting: drama, news, and culture. We attempt to recap, rate, and comment on what's happening in the world.

Verde: I guess we are looking for more international readers (who speak English since we're still learning different languages) We know that when you look for recaps of your favorite dramas, you see that Korean dramas are really popular. We hope to extend ourselves to other dramas like Taiwanese, Japanese, Chinese, and others that have yet to pop into my mind. I think we still may have the majority of Kdramas, but we are going to reach out to others. Along with that, we will try to keep you up to date with worldwide news (LY will probably know more than me since my home happens to be under a rock, but there are instances where I feel like getting sunshine, so i might have a word or two to say.)

limp yakisoba: She likes to argue. We also hope to make ourselves a little less ignorant and you a lot more informed. In our culture corner, we will aim to discuss anything from food to religious practice and personal preferences. Here, we would like to hear your thoughts on the topic of discussion.

Verde: Let's not forget our little forums, or threads (whatever you wanna call'em) that are completely dedicated to you to interact with everyone else who visits this site. Let's do well.

limp yakisoba and Verde signing off. Fighting!!!
